For the Next 24hrs 2007

The crane fly/daddy long legs, which has a one-day life span, is often deemed useless. Its legs cannot support it adequately and it is a creature that seems to hold no function. In “For the Next 24 hours”, 2007, the daddy long legs is elevated like a statue in a square, to reverential proportions, for no other reason than its pointlessness. It becomes a symbol of time wasting, and questions whether we would act differently to the crane fly should we be given only one day to live.
